Op-ED

Outcomes:
Self Direction- The ability to direct and guide oneself in both group work and independent practice.
Preparation- It indicates if I brought it in on the day it was due.

Why I chose it:
I chose this piece because I worked really hard on it. In humanities class we had options of what we wanted to write about and inform people about the issues we wrote about. The issue I chose was environmental issues because I thought it was the most important. 
Process:
This piece of work demonstrates my progress on Self Direction because on the grade for the outcome I got a 10 on the assignment. Also every time we had to bring a piece in or a draft of our work I always brought it in. This work is different then what I would have produced in 9th grade. This is because in 9th grade I wasn't that much of a strong writer. But now that I have learned more since then I have been able to write better papers and go more in depth in my writing.

Quadratic Debate Essay
Outcomes:
Preparation 1.1: Having all materials completed and prepared for class
Preparation 2.1: Fully completes aspects of the task
Writing 1: Support an argument with relevant and sufficient evidence


Why I chose it:
I chose this because it shows how hard I tried to prove a point. I also tried really hard to make sure I could convince someone to chose the method I like to solve a math problem.


Process:
This piece of work demonstrates my progress on Self Direction because for the Self Direction grade I also got a 10. Also when ever we were suppose to turn components for the project i always turned it in. This work is different then what I would have produced in 9th grade. This is because also in 9th grade i was not a really strong writer.
